About PleaseCallMum
PleaseCallMum was created after founders, Donna & Alan Smith, "lost" their son at a music festival in June 2009. He was eventually found - after 40 frantic minutes - in the care of a kind family. Unfortunately Bradley only knew his mother as "Mummy" - and he had no ID.
Donna & Alan tried out various child safety products just in case it ever happened again. They learned that their 4 boys:
- Decided that "wrist bands" were a personal challenge - and tore them off
- Could not be "tagged" with other ID products - particularly when on the beach
Then the penny dropped! Al realised that all children love to wear tattoo transfers and that a tattoo transfer with mum's mobile phone number on it would have re-united Donna with Bradley within just a few minutes. PleaseCallMum tattoo transfers were brought to market in April 2010 to help re-unite other parents with children who "wander off".
